And connect in are the places inside that seek to protect you from feeling really bad pain but sometimes in unhelpful ways…

I understand this. I’ve walked with hundreds of people to wholeness. It’s okay if you are uncertain about God or God language; I’ll walk with you, for God is not uncertain about you. No matter where you are in life or in beliefs, it would be my privilege to walk with you.

Brian has been assisting me for several months now. I was very broken inside, so many childhood hurts. I discovered how Jesus can take away the pain and transform it into a joy to visit those childhood hurts again. The biggest phrase I learned was, “Thank you Jesus for making me who I am.” Now we are able focus on ways to help my adult-self learn new patterns from those developed out of past hurts. Things are progressing well. Though with new patterns learned, I might still mess up. However, I am learning to take the reinforcing help from Brian. It is so helpful.

You are a RARE human being. Deeply compassionate, sharp, quick, no favoritism, able to understand COMPLEX things, PRAYER warrior, etc., etc. From you I gained the confidence that I was not wacko… and have been able to go forward in more confidence. I’m realizing that I need to make DECISIONS based on what I’ve learned and begin acting on them. Thank you for affirming my ability to think logically. Hi, I’m Brian Shimer. I have over 30 years of pastoral experience, a decade working in storytelling, and have walked many people from hurts to healing through pastoral counseling. It would be my privilege to walk with you.
I know my website has lots of Christian language within it. Admittedly, I do come from the perspective of someone who has followed Jesus for decades. However, I’ll work with you, wherever you are, whatever life has thrown at you. If you want faith incorporated, I will do so.
